Revised Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR)

Please refer to SEBI circular MF/CIR/07/404/2000 dated July 31, 2000, and subsequent relevant circular prescribing the format for reporting of Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR).

In line with SEBI circulars dated October 6, 2017, and December 4, 2017, on “Categorization and Rationalization of Mutual Fund Schemes”, the format of MCR has been revised and the same is placed at Annexure-A.

Accordingly, from April2019onwards, AMC shall submit the MCR to SEBI in the revised format by the 3rdworking day of each month.

As per the existing provision, a Mutual Fund scheme is permitted to invest a certain percentage of its  AUM  in schemes of same  Mutual  Fund or other Mutual  Funds.  In order to avoid such investments being considered by both the investee and investing scheme, it is clarified that the investing scheme shall exclude the same while reporting the data on AUM in the MCR.

This circular is issued in exercise of powers conferred under Section 11 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, read with the provisions of Regulation 77 of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996, to protect the interests of investors in securities and to promote the development of, and to regulate the securities market.
