Let us Start with the Introduction.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana or DDU- GKY is a Government of India Youth Employment Scheme. It was launched on 25th of September, 2014 by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari & Venkaiah Naidu on the occasion of 98th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayaya. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the Incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth. DDU-GKY plays a vital role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make in India, Stand – Up India, Digital India, and Start-Up India campaigns.
VISION of DDU-GKY
Transform rural poor youth into an independent and globally relevant workforce.
The main aim of DDU-GKY is to provide employment to the rural youth of the country, comes under the Below Poverty through the help of skill development courses as per their interest
Who can be Partner
Training Partner can be-
a) A legal entity duly registered under the Indian Trust Acts
State society registration act
State cooperative societies
Multi-state cooperative societies Act
b) A legal entity duly registered under the Companies Acts 2013
Limited Liability Partnership Act,2008
c) A statutory body established by an act of the Parliament or state legislature.
